1.      Payments may be made by personal check, money order or cashiers check.  No credit cards are accepted at this time.
 

2.      A 50% deposit, for the weekly rental fee, must be paid to book a cottage or home.  This is a non-refundable fee and will only be returned in case of emergency as deemed by Northern Michigan Property Management.  

3.      If a reservation is cancelled due to emergency, more than 60 days prior to the arrival date, the downpayment will be refunded less a $50.00 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE.  If the reservation is a repeat from the prior year and the security deposit has been held with no downpayment received, the security deposit will be refunded less a $50.00 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE.  If a reservation is cancelled due to an emergency, less than 60 days prior to the arrival date the 50% DOWNPAYMENT WILL BE FORFEITED TO THE OWNER.  Any other prepaid monies will be refunded.

    4. The balance of the rental fees will be paid no later than two weeks before scheduled arrival. 

5.      The completed rental agreement, along with the 50% deposit, must be returned within 10 days.

 6.      The security deposit will be returned within 30 days unless re-booking.  If re-booking, the security deposit will be held and applied toward next booking.

 7.      Arrival and departure time are specifically stated on the rental agreement.  Any deviations from these times must be approved by Northern Michigan Property Management. 

 8.      All rental cottages/homes have phones and the phone numbers are provided in the renter’s package.  Greeters will be waiting at the scheduled arrival time.  It is the responsibility of the renter to call the cottage/home if they feel that they are going to be late.  A $25.00 late fee will be charged if the greeters have to wait longer than ½ hour, after the scheduled arrival time, without contact from the renter.

 9.      Renters are to provide their own linens, towels and paper products.

 10.  Renters are to leave the cottage/home broom cleaned with dishes washed, dried and put away, food removed from refrigerator and garbage put in plastic bags and taken to the trash receptacle.

 11.  Northern Michigan Property is not responsible for lake conditions.

PRIVACY

  Any information given to Northern Michigan Property Management will be used for the sole purpose of renting and managing vacation property. Northern Michigan Property Management will not sell or supply any customer information to any other entity at any time.
