Located on the East Shore
of Houghton Lake, this spacious, 1700 sq. ft. three-bedroom, with loft and
two-bathroom house offers a picturesque view of one of Houghton Lake’s large
canal ways and reflects the peacefulness of canal front living. The Sandlot
will sleep up to ten people offering a queen size bed in the upstairs master
bedroom, a double size bed and double size futon in the second upstairs
bedroom, a double size futon in the loft and a double size bed in the
downstairs bedroom. The upstairs bathroom includes a full size shower and
tub while the downstairs bathroom has a large stand up shower. Our modern
kitchen offers complete cooking facilities including a coffeepot, microwave
and dishwasher. We also provide a washer and dryer for our guests as well
as a telephone for local calls. A color TV with cable and VCR in the
upstairs master bedroom and a color TV with cable and VCR in the living room
are provided for your indoor entertainment. Outside, you will find a
spacious 2 tiered deck. On the first tier you will find an umbrella table
and 4 chairs and 4 Adirondack chairs with 2 footstools, along with a
charcoal grill. On the second tier you will find a bistro table with 2
chairs. We also have a seating area on the roadside deck. Our 95 ft. of
private lake frontage will invite you to enjoy warm sunny days and beautiful
summer nights. Our waterside fire pit, with two park bench seats, will allow
you to enjoy those warm summer nights even more! A sandy beach area with a
Step2 children’s picnic table will supply hours of entertainment for the
little ones. We also have a volleyball net set up ,horseshoe pit
,basketball net and provide a spacious
storage unit for your water toys and accessories. A 30 foot aluminum dock,
along with and additional 65 feet of steel seawall complete with tie downs,
are provided for your water vehicles. There is also a DNR boat launch one
mile down the road. If you do not have a water vehicle, powerboat, pontoon
boat and Jet Ski rentals are available at the many Marinas around the lake.
Our township baseball diamond and soccer fields are within walking distance
and across the street lies state land with many walking paths and lots of
wildlife. You will find plenty of nightlife for those who desire dinning
out and dancing or a movie. There are also many golf courses in the area
and lots of activities for the kids.
